For most children, home is a place of safety, love, and hope.
But for many orphaned and vulnerable children in Central Ghana, life begins with loss, fear, hunger, and uncertainty. Some have lost their parents to illness or poverty. Others have been abandoned, neglected, or left without anyone to protect them. Many face dangers no child should ever experience.
Since 2002, the Children Helpers Foundation has been standing in the gap for these children.
What began as a simple mission to help vulnerable children has grown into a lifeline of hope. Every child welcomed into our care receives more than food and shelter. They receive love, protection, education, medical care, and the opportunity to dream again.
We rescue children from dangerous situations and bring them into safe homes where they can heal, grow, and discover their worth. For many, it is the first time they sleep without fear. The first time they eat a full meal. The first time someone tells them, “You matter.”
One child arrived at our home frightened and severely malnourished after losing both parents. She had stopped attending school and spent her days searching for food. Today, she is healthy, back in school, and dreams of becoming a nurse so she can help other children in need.
Her story is not unique.
Every child we care for carries a story of pain, but also the possibility of transformation.
At Children Helpers Foundation, we believe every child deserves a future filled with dignity, opportunity, and hope. Through education, healthcare, counseling, and stable family-style care, we are raising children who can succeed in life and become leaders in their communities.
But we cannot do it alone.
There are still children waiting for rescue. Still children sleeping hungry. Still children who need a safe place to call home.
Your support can change a child’s story.
A donation can provide meals, school supplies, medical treatment, clean clothing, and safe shelter. More importantly, it can remind a child that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten.
Together, we can give vulnerable children not just survival, but a future.
Help us continue rescuing hope, one child at a time.
